Minimum Requirement:
- Knowledge of basic field operations, including separation equipment, water-handling facilities, flow lines, well testing, data gathering.
- Has skills in using Microsoft Office suite of programs, Landmark Open Wells or other industry well work reporting systems.
- Good working knowledge of personal computer applications and software for engineering purposes.
- Must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must demonstrate high performance in HES and be HES conscious. Experience in working with safety management system like permit to work, etc.
- Ability to work with and supervise a multinational work force.
- Must demonstrate ability to work rotational assignment (28/28) in a hot climate.
- Must be flexible with work schedule changes and additional work, training during scheduled days off.
Job Scope:
The Well Services Site Manager will work under the general guidance of MUK field Well Services Superintendent, supervising the planning and execution of hoist operations and where applicable, coiled tubing, pumping, & slickline operations on development and exploration wells in a safe and cost effective manner and in conformance with established Company guidelines, policies, procedures, programme and applicable governmental regulations.
The Well Services Site Manager responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Manages and is responsible for HES at the wellsite
- Coordinates and supervises the activities of hoist well services operations with well services engineers & well services contractors
- Be on location managing all safety and operational critical operations at all times
- Ensures programme and procedure compliance – initiates the Management of Change (MOC) process where required
- Ensures well integrity at all times
- Coordinates all WS contractors for relevant operation
- Actively participates in Safety meetings & Organises daily work plan as well as proper implementation of the well programme through the use of pre Job meetings, safety meetings, toolbox talks and daily review meetings.
- Organises risk assessments & JSA’s. Ensures that risks are understood and managed adequately
- Organises preparation of next location for the hoist
- Manages onsite operations of all contractors
- Recognizes and rewards good behavior and performance
- Ensures on-site understanding of project expectations and daily work plan as well as proper implementation of the work over plan through the use of communication tools such as pre-job, safety, and daily review meetings.
- Participates in risk assessments and peer reviews to ensure appropriate project planning
- Ensures that all personnel are working in a safe and professional manner and according to laws, rules, regulations, and standards
- Ensures that all equipment matches specification and is fit for purpose
- Responsible for ensuring that information is accurately captured and transferred to the office staff
- Documents and investigates all incidents and serious near misses
- Consults on, reviews, critiques and approves programs for well testing, and well re entry activities with well services engineers.
- Ensure QA/QC is performed by evaluating and approving well services equipment.
- Share & documents best practices & lesson learned with WST, contractors and global well services team lead.
- Actively participate in well services reviews and risk assessments.
- Participate in After Action Reviews (AAR) on major or assigned projects.
- Assure that departmental well services operational SMART goals are been achieved to meet BU goals & targets.
- Manages well control events & responsibilities, and highlights any training requirements.
- Ensures field work is performed in compliance with all applicable regulations and Company policies.
- Implement a proactive culture to transfer and maintain technological knowledge to operations staff as part of project delivery.
- Implement industry standards and recommended practices that relate to well work operations.
Experience:
- Diploma with 7 years of experience OR Secondary School with 10 years of experience as supervising well servicing activities, includes experienceas a workover hoist Supervisor and in the supervision or management of intervention operations well services activities to include service rigs conducting ESP install/replacement, PCP’s rod pumping, steam flood artificial lift operations, workover related tubing and casing fishing operations and cementing operations relative to WS ops ie remedial, tie back, scab liner, squeezing (balanced plug) etc.
- Experience with cycle time reduction programs is a plus.
