Job Scope:
The Maintenance Process Area Lead shall be a qualified senior mechanical person accountable for supervising a team of mechanical technicians in the troubleshooting, installation, repair and maintenance of oilfield mechanical / process systems and related equipment. The Maintenance Process Area Lead will be required to have detailed technical knowledge of many different types of oilfield equipment such as pumps, engines, compressors, motors, coolers etc, piping systems, equipment heavy lifting practices, safety procedures, isolation and testing procedures whilst working in areas of live plant and equipment. The individual must possess previous supervisory experience with extensive experience in troubleshooting and identifying problems with mechanical equipment and process systems.
The Maintenance Process Area Leadresponsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Coordinate and supervise work schedules and assign tasks to the mechanical personnel for the performance of daily preventive and corrective maintenance, project and repair activitieson oilfield process equipmentin their respective process areas.
- Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis on critical equipment failures.
- Identification and ordering of equipment spare parts and establishing material stock levels.
- Identification and implementation of improvements and refinements to work programs and processes.
- Maintaining a daily log of work performed and identification of potential future equipment or component failures and suggest suitable remedial actions.
- Create and maintain meaningful measures and key performance indicators KPI’s on critical equipment runtime, MTBF (Mean Time between Failures), and operating costs.
- Provide input on process optimization opportunities as they relate to equipment life cycle costs.
- Ensure compliance with Company and local regulatory policies, procedures and guidelines related to Health, Environmental, & Safety (HES) and associated working practices. Report all accidents, injuries and hazards to immediate supervisor.
- Training, coaching and mentoring of junior and trainee mechanical technicians.
Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years experience in the repair and maintenance of oilfield mechanical and process equipment including minimum of 3 years experience at supervisory level.
- Experience and knowledge of MAXIMO and associated corrective, predictive and preventative oilfield maintenance practices.
- Experience in troubleshooting mechanical and process equipment failures.
