Education:

Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Electrical or Petroleum Engineering.

 

Minimum Requirement:

• Full understanding of Industrial codes and regulations, preferred US codes.
• Experience in engineering solutions/problems related to thermally enhanced heavy fields.
• Demonstrated capability in coaching, training, mentoring, and employee development.
• Ability to manage large scale, full field, and complex asset through a fast paced development.
• Licensed engineer in core discipline and or P.E.is a preference.
• Supporting facilities regulated by Process Safety Management (PSM) is a preference.
• Good in communication and interpersonal skills. 

 

Job Scope:

The Engineering Supervisor shall be responsible for managing a Multi Discipline team of Engineering Leads, Engineers II, Engineer I, Project Engineers, Technicians, and Engineering Designers. The functional role of this team is the support of all surface facility processes and equipment in Mukhaizna Field. The Engineering Supervisor will set and maintain a high standard for engineering and document control by ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, Health, Environment, and Safety (HES) guidelines, and Industry standards and recommended practices. In Addition, the Engineering Supervisor will ensure project and surveillance support for all Operations and maintenance teams in water treating, steam and power generation and dehydration by setting the strategic direction of the team, project schedules and priorities. The Engineering Supervisor will alsofoster an atmosphere of technical and professional development via a functionally oriented team based environment. 

The Engineering Supervisor responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Build a highly skilled and action oriented team, mentor, develop direct reports and focusing on the development of future Team Leads and Lead Engineers.
• Provide group management functions including hiring, performance assessment, and salary planning administration.
• Ensures effective management for small projects, including scope definition, cost estimation, scheduling, and cost accounting
• Ensures team provides engineering support to Muscat Facilities Project Teams for field development projects
• Develop strategic plans to all nationalization targets for all engineering and technical functions.
• TheEngineeringSupervisor will ensure that Engineering Leads and Engineers provide the following services to customers

 

Experience:

• Minimum of 15 years engineering experience in upstream oil & gas assets (preferably in thermally enhanced heavy oil fields).
• Minimum of 3 years engineering supervisory experience.
• Experience in surface facility including mechanical, electrical, and process supporting Operations.
