Minimum Requirement:
- Solid working knowledge of applicable international codes and standards such as API, ASTM, etc.
- Demonstrates and shares professional expertise.
- Familiar with the operation and maintenance of both rotating and static equipment (pumps, compressors, pipelines, vessels etc).
- Application expertise in RCM, RBI, Root Cause Analysis, defect elimination and life cycle analysis
Job Scope:
The Asset Integrity (AI) Advisor will be responsible to assist and represent both Mechanical Integrity and Maintenance Team Leads with regards to projects, engineering and management interface. This position would represent Asset Integrity input into Projects and Engineering, interface with Management in Muscat and on site, contribute to optimizing programs and systems, and to help solidify Maintenance and Mechanical Integrity in the field. The Asset Integrity Advisor will also assist in mentoring and developing the Operations Surface Engineering and Asset Integrity Staff for career development.
The Asset Integrity Advisor responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of the business units Asset Integrity programs to meet the requirements of the OOG Asset Integrity program.
- Ensure that the developed strategies, processes, systems and practices provide continued integrity of the facilities for their required operational life.
- Ensure that integrity related issues in the facilities are reported and where high risk elevated to management, also that they are investigated promptly and required inspection, testing and engineering activities are coordinated effectively.
- Act as discipline expert and advisor to the business unit management and site Asset Integrity teams in respect to Asset Integrity requirements including day to day production operations, inspection, testing, maintenance and remediation techniques, technology identification, best practice sharing, failure and root cause analysis.
- Advise on Maintenance and MI philosophies, planning and scheduling.
- Develop long term strategies and plans for Asset Integrity scheduled turnarounds of plant/facilities and shutdown of package units, keeping in view the companies risk and business objectives.
- Achieve HES and production targets in a cost effective and efficient manner through the Asset Integrity program
- Develop and support the CMMS Maximo and Credo systems to support Asset Integrity.
- Provide technical engineering support in the identification and assessment of damage mechanisms typical to in-service static equipment.
- Provide technical input into design, fabrication and installation of equipment into new facilities and major expansion projects.
- Review Management of change proposals and participate in Hazops, Design reviews.
- Conduct equipment history reviews to identify the reliability “bad actors” and recommend the action plan to tackle them.
- Identify opportunities for improvements and recommendations changes or upgrades to optimize integrity and reliability of plant facilities.
Experience:
- Minimum of 15 years Mechanical Integrity experience (OR) Bachelor degree in Engineering with minimum of 10 years Mechanical Integrity experience.
- Extensive Maintenance, Reliability and Mechanical integrity engineering experience particularly at strategic and process levels.
