Education:

Bachelor degree in Engineering, preferred Master in Reservoir Engineering.

 

Languages Required:

English written and oral.

 

Minimum Requirement:

• Demonstrated working knowledge of reservoir modeling tools and their appropriate application.
• Good practical understanding of general completion procedures and production operations.
• Knowledge of using Petrel is desirable.
• Economic evaluation skills using PEEP is desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to work with multi-discipline teams.
• Good in communication and interpersonal skills. 

 

Job Scope:

The Senior Reservoir Engineer will provide reservoir engineering support for the areas of reservoir management, development, reserves and evaluating water-flood optimization opportunities. The candidate will assist younger reservoir engineers and will work closely with geoscientists to develop and evaluate drilling opportunities, waterflood optimization strategies, and depletion options in under-developed parts of the field. Other responsibilities include developing production/injection forecasts; reserves update support, and training of Omani reservoir engineers with reservoir development evaluation techniques.

The Senior Reservoir Engineer responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Identify and evaluate field development opportunities and formulate FDP for Wadi Latham fields.
• Evaluate/optimize the ongoing secondary recovery projects, and identify new secondary recovery opportunities.
• Contribute to preparing technical documentation for various subsurface projects.
• Propose data acquisition plans to enhance the reservoir characterization.
• Identify new subsurface projects to ensure maximum reserve replacement ratios.
• Develop production forecasts and estimate reserves.
• Support operations, facilities and exploration activities.
• Support reservoir simulation studies.
• Participate in various planning activities including reserves update, project portfolio assessment, capital post audits and technical budgeting.
• Prepare and participate in various technical presentations for management, partners and government 

 

Experience:

• Minimum of 7 years of reservoir engineering experience.
• Experience in reservoir engineering evaluations secondary or tertiary recovery operations.
