Education:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in chemical / petroleum engineering or environmental science / engineering.
Languages Required:
English written and oral.
Minimum Requirement:
- Proven knowledge on international standards , guidelines, schemes such as EU ETS, IPCC etc
- Technical expertise in GHG quantification and accounting, CO2 management;
- Understanding of Climate Change regulations, protocols and procedures;
- Able to analyse complex economic data and develops forecasting, analysis and reporting methodologies;
- Demonstrated ability to conduct enterprise-level GHG accounting assessments and CO2 management;
- Self-motivated and can work independently as well as in a team; and
- Excellent analytical abilities with oral and written communication skills.
Job Scope:
The role of the GHG Coordinator is to:
- Coordinate with various stakeholders (Operators) to obtain Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emission data on monthly basis
- Analyze GHG emission data and interpret the result of the related inventory and establish implications to line of business process
- Be responsible for assisting with ongoing process improvements based on interpretation / analysis of GHG data and CO2 management
- Undertake development of strategy and support in technology analysis for performance improvement and identifying GHG / CO2 emission reduction projects
- Develop national reports for policymaking on Climate Change issues especially on GHG management
- Review the implications of HSE related international treaties, conventions and protocols and prepare assessment reports and action plans
Experience:
Requires a minimum of ten years related professional experience in Oil & gas industry.
