Minimum Requirement:

• Track record of HSE leadership in an onshore E&P environment.
• Strong knowledge of Artificial Lift Systems used onshore for medium to heavy crude including progressive cavity pumps and sucker rod pumps is essential.
• Experience in management of production operations, projects (construction phase), road building, drilling site preparation and material warehousing.
• Experience with water injection operations is desirable.
• Leadership in a cross cultural setting and strong conflict management skills.  Middle East experience is preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with and mentor National technical staff to build core competencies.
• Must have strong organization and planning skills, be flexible and able to manage through change.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as problem solving skills required.
• Basic computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel are required.

 

Job Scope:

This position will be located in our client’s joint venture land based operations located 3 hours south of Cairo in Egypt’s Eastern desert.  Reporting to the Manager of Operations, the individual in this position will be responsible for the day-to-day on site supervision, planning and execution of Joint Venture field based activities maintaining HSE and operational efficiency.  Individual will be accountable for the adherence to company policies, procedures and guidelines pertaining to production operations, safety and environmental protection in a prudent and cost effective manner. The ability to provide ongoing skill development, training and mentoring to National staff for whom the candidate will be jointly responsible. Working alongside a National counterpart, effective team work and communication skills in a challenging environment are essential.

 

 

Experience:

Minimum of 15 years field operations experience. Exposure to heavy oil production is a plus.
