Location:

Education:

Holding a MSc degree in civil engineering, construction management, building science or construction science.

 

Languages Required:

English written and oral.

 

Minimum Requirement:

• Solid credentials in planning, designing and constructing of large, complicated buildings in the Middle East
• Proven ability to manage large, fast track, architectural, multi-disciplined and construction (sub)contracts
• Very good understanding of legal issues pertaining to construction, various types of applicable contracts, variation orders and claims
• Project manager or construction manager experience in at least two large volume R&D design and construction projects, ideally in the Middle East
• Highly developed teamwork abilities, leadership, problem-solving, goal oriented, multi-tasking, organization and superior communication skills

 

Job Scope:

• Advises on the creation of detailed facilities design basis
• Advises on the supervision of architectural design and construction contractor to deliver facility on time on budget
• Advises on the management of large volume contracts with the R&D architect and construction contractor to design and build the facility
• Works with the Program Design manager to understand spatial requirements, i.e. facilities, labs and equipment
• Advises on the supervision of the scope and design activities to ensure that high standard facilities, labs and equipment meet the requirements
• Advises on the supervision of the construction contractor and (sub) contractors of several sub disciplines

 

Experience:

• At least 10 years  demonstrable experience in cooperating with or working for large international E&P companies
• Minimum of 10 years Middle East experience is considered a benefit
• Several courses on Project Management, (types of) contracts, quality management and HSE
