Location:

Education:

A PhD in Geosciences or Petroleum Engineering.

 

Languages Required:

Fluent in English, both in writing and verbally, as well as at least one other language

 

Minimum Requirement:

• Working knowledge and understanding of applied upstream and downstream disciplines and petroleum economics
• Proven track record in collaborator/partnership negotiations
• Understands skill sets & capabilities of potential collaborators and credible in dialogue/negotiations to assess interest and contract for needed services
• Problem solver and results oriented. Key contributor to the successful technical development of multiple oil and gas fields
• Energy and enthusiasm, with a focus on results and the ability to work effectively on his own as well as with different multi- national organizations
• Excellent communication skills and proven track record networking across business units and coach and develop less experienced staff

 

Job Scope:

• Assists with the creation of key collaborator relationships to support KIPRC’s successful start-up
• Assists with the establishment of collaboration business model and governance framework
• Works with Lead, Program Design to understand KIPRC’s initial collaborator needs
• Assists with the creation ofshort-list of potential collaborators
• Assists with the negotiations and implementation of collaborator agreements
• Assists with the establishment of long-term service agreements
• Assists with the cconduction of on-going dialogue with potential future collaborators/partners
• Assists with the iidentification and co-optation of Advisory Council Members, working with Lead, Program Design
• Assists with the coordination of all agreements related to collaboration with stakeholders like other technical centres, universities and companies

 

Experience:

• 15-20 years active industry experience in Oil and Gas related to various research & development challenges.
• Demonstrable international experience with large E&P companies and research institutes.
• Middle East experience is considered a benefit.
