Education:
Holding a PhD degree in Geoscience or Petroleum Engineering.
Languages Required:
Fluent in English, both in writing and verbally, as well as at least one other language.
Minimum Requirement:
- Working knowledge and understanding of applied upstream and downstream disciplines and petroleum economics
- Proven track record in collaborator/partnership negotiations
- Understands skill sets & capabilities of potential collaborators and credible in dialogue/negotiations to assess interest and contract for needed services
- Problem solver and results oriented. Key contributor to the successful technical development of multiple oil and gas fields
- Identify key areas for collaboration on short and long term
- Energy and enthusiasm, with a focus on results and the ability to work effectively on his own as well as with different multi- national organizations
- Excellent communication skills and proven track record networking across business units and coach and develop less experienced staff
Job Scope:
- Advises on the creation of key collaborator relationships to support KIPRC’s successful start-up
- Advises on the establishment of collaboration business model and governance framework
- Work with Lead, Program Design to understand KIPRC’s initial collaborator needs
- Advises on the creation of short-list of potential collaborators
- Advises on negotiations and implementation of collaborator agreements
- Advises on the establishment of long-term service agreements
- Advises on the coordination of Collaborator Agreements
- Advises on the conduction of on-going dialogue with potential future collaborators/partners
- Advises on the Identification and co-optation Advisory Council Members, working with Lead, Program Design
Experience:
- 20+ years demonstrable international experience with large E&P companies and ideally research institutes
- Middle East experience is considered a benefit
