Education:

Holding a PhD degree in Geoscience or Engineering.

 

Languages Required:

English written and oral.

 

Minimum Requirement:

• Solid credentials in developing, scoping and managing R&D programs
• Proven ability to conceptualize, plan and manage R&D programs (Scope, staffing numbers and capabilities required and equipment) based on specified business needs
• Demonstrable experience in leading a multi-disciplinary team composed of Geochemists, Geologists, Reservoir Engineers, Production and Process Engineers
• Proven success in recruitment of high caliber technical staff
• Has an international experience through dealing with large E&P companies and research institutes.
• Highly developed teamwork abilities, leadership, strategic thinking, problem-solving, goal oriented, multi-tasking, flexibility, creativity, organization, and superior communication skills

 

Job Scope:

• Advises on the design & advises on the plan start-up of research program
• Work with sponsors to develop detailed R&D programs
• Advises on the definition  of capabilities (people and facilities) required to develop R&D programs
• Advises on the specification of  qualifications / experience required and assists HR lead in recruitment of high caliber staff
• Advises on establishing R&D labs and required technical equipment
• Advises on budget specification required to run the R&D program
• Advises on the determination of the technical requirements and specifications with and for the stakeholders
• Advises on the scope, definition and program of the technological portfolio in cooperation with Planning and other relevant stakeholders
• Work closely with E&P companies, technology developers, and research institutes with capability of assessing the potential technical research and commercial viability of different E&P challenges and translate into opportunities
• Advises on identification and co-optation of Advisory Council members, working with Lead Collaborator Relationships

 

 

Experience:

• 20+ years demonstrable international experience with large and small international E&P companies and ideally research institutes
• Middle East experience is considered a benefit
