Job Scope:

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing, successful EPCM firm. The Estimator will be primarily responsible to:

• Provide support to the Project Managers, Project Engineers and Discipline Leads in the formation of their EPCM budgets for oil and gas projects.
• Estimate, from first principles if necessary, costs for labor, materials and equipment to carry out a defined scope of work.
• Monitor actual costs against estimated costs to verify estimate assumptions.
• Participate in risk assessment workshops for project work to verify estimate provisions.
• Maintain a Risk Register for the Company's work and arrange for regular reviews and updates.
• Benchmark estimate information against historical project data.
• Develop estimate basis and assign order of accuracy ratings to estimates.
• Work with Procurement personnel to obtain external information for estimating purposes in the form of budget prices and vendor data and equipment and contractor services.

 

Experience:

• 5 years experience as an estimator in an EPCM environment with over 2 years of experience in the Canadian oil and gas industry.
• Experience in the Alberta market is a definite asset.
