University graduate with an engineering degree in an applicable discipline.
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Alberta and eligibility for registration in British Columbia and Saskatchewan.
Languages Required:
English written and oral.
Minimum Requirement:
- Strong knowledge of Federal (Canada & US) pipeline Regulations and Standards.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in the application and implementation of risk/reliability assessment techniques.
Job Scope:
Reporting to the Senior Engineering Specialist, Pipeline Risk Management & Program Development,
this Calgary based position will use quantitative and semi-quantitative risk assessment (QRA and
SQRA) methods to help plan/optimize the implementation of a variety of pipeline and facility integrity
related activities.
Working with Program Leads in the Pipeline & Corridor Risk Management Department, the position
will also be actively involved in the development and maintenance of a range of necessary program
documentation.
This role will require some out-of-office/city travel in support of the Group's activities (not expected to
exceed one week per every 6 - 8 weeks, on an annual basis).
Experience:
Minimum of 12 years of broad experience in pipeline and pipeline/facility integrity engineering (preferably
transmission systems) activities.
